LeBron James is an American professional basketball player in the NBA. The 6ft 8in tall power forward currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. James led the Miami Heat to back-to-back NBA titles in 2012 and 2013. His career highlights include 3x NBA Finals MVP, 4x NBA regular season MVP, and 15x NBA All-Star. He won his third NBA championship in 2016 as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. James was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. His parents are Gloria Marie James and Anthony McClelland. CAREER
James attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where he made a name for himself as a future star.
He averaged 21 points and 6 rebounds in his first year. His scoring improved to 31.6 points in his junior year. James recorded a career-high 52 points as a senior. He led the St. Vincent-St. Mary basketball team to the Division II championship (their 3rd in 4 years). He was named Mr. Basketball USA (2002-03) and won the 2003 Naismith Prep Player of the Year. In addition to basketball, James also showed promise as a football player (wide receiver). He drew attention from Division I programs like Notre Dame. James skipped college basketball altogether.
